A nod ensues first and then a smile.

"I am ready." Her pre-selected pair of Pokeballs are retrieved from her bag, each being sent out shortly after the gym leader's partners. Unlike Alexander's pair, Katherine's own shared no typing and seemed more like an unlikely duo. Aegislash floated above a patch of land whereas Garchomp opted to dive into the water too.

"Oh? That's nice of you." It wasn't always this way from her experience. "As long as you're sure you won't regret it, mister Stone." Her smile is a tad bit more genuine than before, cheeky in every sense of the word.

Aegislash is the first of Katherine's Pokemons to act. He floats at a relatively calm pace until Katherine orders him to speed it up, "Caliburn. IRON HEAD." Despite the lack of direction he's given, it's clear that he's after Lapras. After all, he was much more visible. The sword glows with a magnificent silver hue before attempting to clash with Lapras' head - and that is when Garchomp reveals himself from the depths.

His own head glows with the same shade of silver, IRON HEAD executed by him as well.

It's an assault from both directions.

Aegislash is hit by the torrent of water, albeit it sustains little damage. Naturally resistant to the element, it seems to barely slow him down. Water continues to drip from the sword, small drops that collect at the tip of the blade before falling down.

"SACRED SWORD, Caliburn."

The hue Aegislash glowed with changed from silver to a luminous, pale shade of blue. It seems to extend the reach of the blade before he sweeps in the air in an attempt of reaching Lapras with the move.

Garchomp, however, is not as lucky. The boosted DRAGON PULSE certainly manages to hurt it and leave marks on the land shark pokemon. In retaliation, it begins to swim faster to catch up to Alexander's Clawitzer. Rather than focusing on the Lapras, it attempts to SLAM into the water-type and bring the battle close to it. He wouldn't allow the luxury and comfort of attacking from afar anymore, not if he could help it.

Aegislash is left to levitate in the air, a tad confused by the disappearance of the Lapras. It seemed as if he wasn't prepared for that to happen, but it does not stop him from redirecting his eye to the water and search for some sort of a sign. Where was everyone?

At the sight of a second DRAGON PULSE being charged, Garchomp's body begins to glow with an ethereal, azure glow. It enhances his speed even inside the water, allowing him to quickly swim up and away - where he leaps out of the water and returns to land.

He glances around until he catches his partner with his eyes, and then directs his eyes towards the water once more. Aegislash moves towards the same patch of land, remaining close to the dragon-type.

"Wait for them. You know what to do."

If they had no intention to join Katherine's pokemon above the water, then they had to be forced.

And although her next orders sound a bit confusing at first, Garchomp and Aegislash are perfectly capable of understanding where their trainer was aiming. "Make it rain for us, Chomps." Rain dance..? In what world does it benefit Kat's team?

That's right.

It doesn't.

And it's not your ordinary rain Garchomp calls for, but instead, he charges an orange sphere in his mouth and aims up towards the ceiling, where the orb splits and smaller meteors begin to shoot down and descend all across the arena. Some of the water is bound to evaporate and Katherine expects it to somewhat force the other duo to act. If not, they were the ones to suffer the consequences, no?

Caliburn's shadow then extends and dives deep into the water, where it seeks to use this opportunity to assault the nearest of Alexander's pokemon - should the DRACO METEOR help him sight one of them, at least.

Silence befalls Katherine when the pair of water-types finally decide to show themselves.

It's a well-crafted assault that's aimed at Aegislash and none else - and it seems to be the wrong target for the duo to focus on. Once more, it shifts in air and its stance finally reverts back to its SHIELD FORME. KING'S SHIELD is executed, and in doing so, the ghost-type erects a glowy, blue shield to surround himself, blocking both the DARK PULSE and the BLIZZARD from ever reaching it.

Caliburn is kept protected from the BLIZZARD thanks to its shield, but the same could not be said for Garchomp. The icy wind pelts the dragon-type and forces a cry of distress, Lapras' attack seemingly landing a decisive blow against him. However, he's not quite ready to give up. Worn down by the damage he has suffered, a deep breath prepares Garchomp for the next move.

DRAGON RAGE is charged in his maw in the form of another sphere, and then blast of blue energy is aimed from afar at Clawitzer and none other.

As the next attacks are being charged by Lapras and Clawitzer, Garchomp seems to contemplate and weigh his options. Should he jump back into the water or try to dig into the land this arena provided? Alas, this moment of hesitation proves to be a fatal mistake - both the DRAGON PULSE and the ICE BEAM connect as he finally attempts to dig.

The first of the attacks, Clawitzer's, pushes him away whereas the ICE BEAM finishes the job completely. He faints without much of a struggle or even a swan song.

One of Katherine's fists clench when she witnesses her pokemon go down first, but it isn't over just yet.

Caliburn's shadow extends as he shifts back to his BLADE FORME, and once more, it attempts to strike Clawitzer. It uses Garchomp's fainting as, well, an opportunity and nothing else. He didn't share a lot of sentiments towards his partner in crime, it seemed.

"You did great, Chomps. Caliburn can handle himself."

The dragon-type returns to his Pokeball to rest, and Katherine's attention is immediately set upon her Aegislash again.
